Danielle enjoyed her ride through the roads of North Carolina often called the Tail Of The Dragon and had prepared for blue skies as the forecasters predicted only to see massive black and purple clouds with great blast of thunder. She Was riding her motorcycle and feared to drive in the rain with the road twists and turns. She always packed her heavy rain gear and pulled over to put it on on one of the narrow stops. She Had left her job as a design engineer at an aerospace industry for a few days respite. Just as she put on her gear, a huge dragon burst through the clouds, his wing hit an electrical line before it crashed near hear. And then it turned into a naked man!
The last thing Garinth remembered was he had avenged Shannon’s death by killing the evil wizard that called himself, Llud. Llud and he were enemies long before the wizard had killed Shannon and taken over his village he had sworn to protect. As a changeling, the people had respected him knowing that he also was a dragon until Llud festered their minds with hatred. He saw that he had landed after his wing was hurt to see a strange warrior who rode a strange looking horse………
Oh my, I do hope Sultry Summers continues with a sequel as I so want to know what happens next!! Tail Of The Dragon pits good and evil in a centuries old war but is the love formed centuries ago enough to banish evil and will love conquer all?

The Tail of the Dragon is a well-written, fast paced, and unusual book. I had no problems in believing any of the characters or settings. Ms. Summers was descriptive with events and scenery. I have traveled the Blue Ridge Mountains many times and her descriptions brought vivid memories. In fact, while I read this story, I was totally there! It was so compelling. It avoids most, if not all, of the fantasy clichés I can think of and throws some subjects for thought in as well. In Danielle, it has a strong-minded and realistic heroine who isn’t blonde. The man/dragon, Garnith, is a very cool character who is big and strong, but very vulnerable and dependant on Danielle. The love scenes were HOT!!! They were made hotter because you were aware of the emotional intensity between the characters, though, they both tried to fight it. Danielle is sexy and assertive – she is not afraid to ask for what she wants and is adventurous within her relationship. The shower scene was a very steamy in more ways than one! This aspect of the of the damsel in distress in reverse was funny, entertaining, and sexy. The past and present lives were so easily woven together in a believable fashion. I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy books, dragons, sex, or a good read.
Sultry Summers is obviously an intelligent, accomplished author, and I look forward to reading more of her books.
